Homes in Northridge
Northridge has a wide range of homes, from 1950s and 60s ranch houses to larger 1970s and 80s homes north of the university. After the 1994 earthquake many homes were repaired, but plenty still have original HVAC layouts, older panels and raised foundations that predate today’s bolting standards.
Rebate angle
A 3-ton heat pump with weatherization and a panel upgrade can receive up to $19,000 in TECH incentives for an income-qualified home, before any LADWP rebate. See the example below.

Northridge permits go through LADBS. Many homes here had earthquake repairs after 1994, so we check the permit history before opening walls or adding equipment.
Northridge is LADWP and SoCalGas territory. That lets an income-qualified home stack the TECH incentive with an LADWP rebate, as in the example above.
Pre-1980 homes on raised foundations may qualify for an Earthquake Brace + Bolt grant. It is a separate program from TECH and opens once a year.
Upstairs rooms in two-story homes run hot. Zoning or a second small system often fixes it better than a bigger unit.

Questions
It depends on your home and income tier. Our worked example shows how TECH incentives come off the invoice and how an LADWP rebate can come back after. You get exact numbers at the free home check.
Often, yes. Brace + Bolt has its own registration window, so timing matters. We let you know when it opens.
Yes, 91330 is on the priority ZIP list. The program is for single-family homes, so it applies to houses in that ZIP rather than campus buildings.
