If a home has no ductwork, a ductless mini-split heat pump can cool and heat without opening ceilings. Many homes use one or two indoor units for the main rooms.
Older 60- or 100-amp panels often cannot carry a heat pump. A 200A panel has its own TECH incentive when it is part of a heat pump project.
